Science Olympiad is a fun, parent-run extracurricular that builds on Taylor’s STEAM focus. This season includes 6 weeks of Sunday learning/practice sessions followed by a state-wide competition in April. In Fall 2024, Taylor students earned state medals in 6 events—including 1st place in Rube Goldberg Machine!

Who: Grades 3–5 (limited to 26 students)

When: Saturdays, Feb 21–Apr 11 (4-6 PM; no 3/28 or 4/4)

Where: Church of the Covenant Fellowship Hall

Competition: Sat, April 18 at Oakton High School

Cost: $50 per student (scholarships available)

Students compete in 2–3 events with parent mentors—volunteers are essential!

Registration opens Jan 13 at 9 PM and closes Feb 1 (or when full).
