In these uncertain times with many needing help, we hope you'll consider honoring the Taylor holiday tradition of supporting two important causes:

Tigers Helping Tigers: support fellow Taylor families in need. Our school social worker will deliver gift cards to these families to help during Thanksgiving and Winter holidays.  

Foster Care Giving: gift cards will be given to children in foster care in Arlington. The gift cards will be given to children at a holiday party hosted by Arlington County's Child & Family Services Division.

For both causes, our goal is to collect gift cards from local grocery stores and retailers for $20 to $30. The most requested retailer gift cards are: Safeway, Giant, Target, Amazon, and Walmart. If you would like to support this important cause, we ask that you sign up below.

Please deliver your card(s) by Friday December 5th (sooner is better!) in one of two ways:

 1. Send e-gift cards directly from retailers to taylorelementarygiving@gmail.com. NOTE: please also separately send an email to taylorelementarygiving@gmail.com and we will confirm GCs were received

 2. Drop off at the Taylor School front office. Please include a note to specify whether for Foster Care or Tigers Helping Tigers.

Many Arlington families, including Taylor students and their families, are impacted with high grocery prices, and other ongoing financial constraints. Local food pantries, Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB), are experiencing record need at their pantries, with over 4,200 Arlington residents receiving free groceries from AFAC every week, a number expected to surpass 5,000 in the coming weeks. Below are a list of resources and information that may help families navigate these challenging times. Families needing referrals can reach out to Zamir Bridgman, Taylor's school social worker. 

If you find yourself in a position to help others as we enter this season of giving, there are also options listed at the end for ways to help ensure our neighbors in need have dignified access to nutritious food.

Spring Fair
Spring Fair is a big day of games, food, and fun for the whole community. Co-chairs plan activities, gather volunteers, and keep the fair running smoothly. Planning starts in the fall, and the big celebration happens in spring! Email fundraising@taylorpta.org

Ninja Nights
Team up with the PE department to make Ninja Nation week extra fun! Help with volunteer sign-ups, RSVPs, waivers, etc. Ninja Nation week is late February! events@taylorpta.org
