Special Education Liaison
The Special Education Liaison serves as a resource to the school community about Special Education for students with disabilities. Duties include: attending meetings of the Arlington County Special Education PTA meetings; sharing relevant information about special education and related activities and events with the school community; reviewing, and as appropriate, reporting on recent activities of the Arlington Special Education Advisory Committee meetings; and providing periodic updates to the school unit PTA. This role requires a moderate level of activity throughout the school year and communication is key. One of the important responsibilities of this position is to build awareness to disability and special education-related issues and to share information with other Taylor families.
