Career Day is back! Our goal is to introduce students to careers that might inspire them. The focus is on “what can you be when you grow up.” We welcome all careers, not just standard STEAM careers. Think about where in your career you use the 4 C’s (critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration).
Volunteers should prepare a 10-minute presentation that allows for opportunities to share about his/her career and for student questions. Presenters may bring props, hands-on experiences, and visuals. We ask that presenters do not bring anything to give to students. Groups of students (numbers will vary based on number of presenters) will rotate through the different career presentations. The more volunteers we have the more careers our students will get to be inspired by. Feel free to sign up for one session or both sessions. Please contact Ms. Ross (Katherine.ross@apsva.us) if you would like assistance in making sure your presentation in age appropriate and/or if you would like to make a virtual presentation. Please also tell Ms. Ross your presentation needs (i.e. whiteboard, projector, outlet etc.) and if you have a preference for a location indoor/outdoor (weather permitting).
